Longevity & Wellness Assessment

Longevity & Wellness Assessment

Understand how your body is functioning today—and what that may mean for how you feel in the years ahead. The Longevity & Wellness Assessment at The Longevity Center FL is a comprehensive, physician-guided wellness evaluation delivered by Dr. Benjamin Kosubevsky, with advanced training in Osteopathic, Regenerative, and Integrative Medicine. Designed for patients in West Palm Beach and across South Florida, this assessment is structured to provide deeper insight into the biological systems that influence energy, resilience, and long-term wellness.

Most routine lab panels are designed to identify disease after it appears. Our wellness-focused approach looks at a broader set of markers—metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, and cellular—that may shift well before conventional reference ranges are exceeded. These insights support a more informed conversation between you and your care team about lifestyle, nutrition, and potential next steps.

Important Notice

The Longevity & Wellness Assessment is a physician-guided wellness evaluation. It is intended to inform personalized wellness planning, not to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any specific disease. This assessment is not a substitute for the standard-of-care medical evaluation recommended by your primary care physician. Some of the laboratory markers referenced on this page—including epigenetic age estimates and certain specialty panels—are laboratory-developed tests (LDTs) and have not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

What the Assessment Measures

Your Longevity & Wellness Assessment is organized around four categories of health markers, each informed by current peer-reviewed research and customized based on your personal health history and wellness goals.

Cardiometabolic & Vascular Markers

Our cardiometabolic panel extends beyond a standard cholesterol workup. Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) has been described in the peer-reviewed literature as a potentially useful marker of atherosclerotic cardiovascular risk alongside traditional lipid measures (Sniderman et al., JAMA Cardiology, 2019). High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), fasting insulin, and HOMA-IR are widely studied markers that may provide additional context about vascular inflammation and insulin sensitivity (Ridker et al., New England Journal of Medicine, 2002).

Hormonal & Endocrine Markers

A comprehensive hormonal panel evaluates systems that may influence mood, body composition, sleep, and cognition: sex hormones (testosterone, estradiol, progesterone, DHEA-S), a complete thyroid panel (TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3, thyroid antibodies), and adrenal markers. Hormonal variability can be associated with a wide range of wellness-related symptoms, even when values fall within conventional laboratory reference ranges.

Inflammation & Cellular Health

Chronic, low-grade inflammation—sometimes referred to in the scientific literature as inflammaging—has been associated with a range of age-related changes in health and function (Ferrucci & Fabbri, Nature Reviews Cardiology, 2018). Where clinically appropriate, we may evaluate inflammatory cytokines, micronutrient status (including vitamin D, B12, folate, magnesium, and zinc), and markers of oxidative stress. Vitamin D status has been studied in large systematic reviews examining its relationship to overall health outcomes (Autier et al., Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, 2014).

Biological Age & Organ System Markers

Chronological age reflects how long you have been alive. Biological age estimates are research-based measures intended to reflect how certain biological systems are functioning relative to calendar age. Epigenetic aging measures such as PhenoAge are derived from peer-reviewed research (Levine et al., Aging, 2018) and, where indicated, may be incorporated into your assessment as a laboratory-developed test. Combined with metabolic, renal, hepatic, and hematologic markers, this provides an expanded view of overall physiological function.
